Rules and Guidelines for Scarecrow Hosts
These Rules and Guidelines are specifically for Scarecrow Hosts.
- There is a charge of £5.00 for each scarecrow hosted.
- Scarecrows must be maintained in a reasonable and safe condition by their hosts, during the times and dates specified below.
- Scarecrows must be on display between the hours of 9am and 6pm each day between 8th August and 23rd August 2026. Outside of these hours, they may be removed if desired.
- Prizes will be awarded for the best, second best and third best scarecrow, as decided by participating members of the public, who will vote on-line.
- Scarecrows can be made from a variety of materials and should not exceed 2 metres in height.
- All electrical cables (if any) to be fully secured.
- All Scarecrows to be wind/weatherproof. Shelter may be provided (Gazebo, Etc.)
- Exhibitors take full responsibility for their scarecrows against the risk of vandalism, if left out at night and also for any repairs necessary to maintain them in a safe condition.
