Tadley and Baughurst Scarecrow Trail
PLEASE NOTE:
Questionnaires will NOT be accessible after 23:45hrs Monday 24 August
Loddon Valley Lions will now be organising this event in partnership with the previous organisers. This years event will run between Saturday 8th August and Sunday 23rd August and the format will be similar to that of previous years. All proceeds raised from the event will be donated to Sebastian's Action Trust, CLICK HERE for details. The Trust's Bluebells Family Centre is located at North Waltham, just outside Basingstoke.
To participate in the Trail, you need to purchase a map and child booklet (CASH ONLY) from one of the following participating outlets:
- Tesco Baughurst Express, Heath End Road, Tadley, RG26 5LX
- Londis, Bishopswood Road, Tadley, RG26 4HD
- Kings DIY, The Parade, Mulfords Hill, Tadley, RG26 3LG
- Morrisons Local, Giles Road, Tadley, Tadley RG26 3RL
NONE OF THESE STORES CAN ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS IN PAYMENT FOR SCARECROW TRAIL ITEMS AND THE MAP IS NOT AVAILABLE ONLINE.
The Map and Childrens Booklet
The map shows the location of the scarecrows and contains a question to be answered by participating adults. Each scarecrow will have a letter attached to it, this letter can be added to a grid in the Child Booklet, for the child to solve a puzzle.
Once you have visited all the scarecrows, please scan the QR Code on the map and complete the questionnaire. This will NOT be accessible after 23:45hrs on Monday 24 August. So, please ensure you submit your responses before that time.
Prizes
Prizes will be awarded to:
- The owners of the best three scarecrows as voted for by those submitting a questionnaire
- The winner of the adult quiz on the map, as determined by a draw from the correct answers submitted with the questionnaire
- The winner of the child competition, as determined by a draw from the correct answers submitted with the questionnaire
- The winner of the draw from all questionnaires submitted
Presentation of Awards and Draws
The above prizes will be presented at a function to be held at the Diamond Scout Centre, Southdown Road, Tadley, RG26 4BS at 10:30am on Sunday 13th September. All scarecrow owners and participants of the Scarecrow Trail are invited to this function. The draws to determine prize winners from participants in the Trail will also be made at this event.
